You Float my boat

DSC_0003 (3)

you can see the memento inks here again! So excited to have them Smile. I stamped the stripes in the two colors and used a neat trick here. The stamp had three stripes. So I took the green ink and inked the outermost two stripes. Stamped it. Next I inked the outermost two stripes with the blue ink. Then stamped it such that a blue stripe was in between the green stripes! So proud of myself Smile

Stamped the boat on a white circle cardstock. Colored it with prismacolor pencils. I used the little wave stamps to create birds too (another aha moment! I’m on a roll!!). I wanted to give the look as if the view is from a porthole. So I cut a ring from white cardstock, colored it grey with spectrum noir markers (I ran out of my grey cardstock). Then hand drew those black circles and colored them. Popped the ring on foam dots. Stamped the sentiment all around it. Doodled the periods in between the sentiment.

You rock my world!

My Favorite things Document it - Rock on

When I got my new memento inks I was too excited to create a background using solid stamps! So I dug out this stamp set from my stash. And created the background – doesn’t the colors look fabulous! I created the black panel using some fuzzy cutting and guess what the black cardstock was a white cardstock that I turned into black using memento Tuxedo black ink! Go me! The sentiment on the black panel is embossed with white embossing powder.

Happy Birthday

I used this cut file from Bird’s cards. I modified it a little so that I got a plain strip towards the bottom for my sentiment. Then I cut it out using my KNK Zing. Stamped the sentiment. Sponged the background with distress inks – red and weathered wood. Created some shimmer mist and sprayed that. the sentiment was white embossed on vellum. Voila! my card was done!
