Laura’s sketch #33

Here’s my entry for 2S4Y Laura’s sketch 33 challenge.

There are tiny rhinestones on the flowers and piercing all along the scalloped border. Maybe I should’ve colored the bird brown and that would have been appropriate with the color scheme. I’m into using my PPs these days because I have way too many!!

A spoonful of sugar

I love the name of this blog, it’s so sweet! So I worked on one of the challenges by Caryn, Challenge 62. 

The past week I’ve made a lot of cards but didn’t post any of them. Well it was very hot (read 100 F!) and making cards helped me get distracted from the heat but posting it wasn’t easy. So like an assembly line, I kept making them and putting them in my card box. It was fun and oh! I was so glad to use up my supplies! The more you use, the more you buy :D. Nah! Just kidding! My goal is not to buy any craft supplies (except adhesive, of course!) till Nov. at least.

Mouse and flamingo

Don’t worry they’re not on the same card! :) Though I wonder if it would be possible to make a card like that ???

 

There is glitter on the flowers but it was hard to capture.

When I got this image in an image swap, my first reaction was “What am I going to do with this image?!?!?”; but I was very happy to see this card turn out the way it did. The sentiment is embossed with clear EP.

Faux silk technique and a manly card

This was my first attempt at the faux silk technique.

It was also  based on some sketch challenge but I forgot which one :(. For the paper piercing, I hand drew the design on a translucent paper, put it over the cardstock and pierced it over.

Here’s my take on a manly card. Most  of my cards are very feminine so I wanted to make something manly. Does it look like it can be given to the men in our life? The outer black frame is popped on dimensionals and the stamped image is clear embossed. I used my gold pen to doodle here and there.

Box for cards and whole lotta tags!

Ok I was so loving the process of making these tags that I made them in every possible combination I could think of; what could I do, I just loved them! This set from Inkadinkado is one of my favorites. I also wanted to use my new crop-a-dile so this was my excuse for using it :)

Then I thought I would make a gift box for my friends which could contain some cards and tags. So here it is:

Let me show you the card that is on the top...

The border is created using a scalloped scissors and crop-a-dile. Doesn't it look like the "threading water punch"?

Did you know that in Live Writer, when you insert a picture in your post it gives you the ability to add a watermark?!?! That's what I did above. Isn't that cool?!?!
