Lovely little boxes

When I was a child I'd made these origami boxes and my mother would adorn them on her dresser. Now that I think of it, I'm amazed that how much of that junk I used to make and she would treasure it like priceless pieces. She would in fact ask me to make more :). Anyway, 20 years later I'm still making the same boxes just that they seem much more useful and beautiful :). I wanted to distribute prasad (sweets) among my friends and so I used these boxes for that purpose. You can find the instructions by Nichole Heady.

 

I wanted to make all of the same color but was out of ms CS! I must say that though nestabilities are very expensive but they're so useful!

Flowahbella

Got this image in my image swap - it's so cool! I was trying to make this card for a sketch challenge but somewhere down the line I didn't want to stick to the sketch and then decided to embellish that flower on the DP.

Embossed paisleys

I really like the print on this DP and was very impatient to use it in a card. There's faux-stitching using a glitter pen on the borders. A very simple and quick card I would say!

Lizzie Anne Design Birthday Sketch Challenge

I made this for the LAD BSC and as I've said before I love my stamp set from LAD. The other day I was thinking about how else can I use the images and immediately I wanted to make a "bouquet" kind of image.

Favorite sketch

This seems to be my favorite sketch especially for embossing! Every time I think of embossing, I'm unable to digress from this sketch. I guess I need to come out of my comfort zone somehow. I wanted to do three images with the same stamp and have only a part of the stamp in each of the images and with no uniformity among the images. I think I was successful on that end.

Oh and worth mentioning is the video tutorial of tying a ribbon bow. What I also learnt from it is that I could make a bow separately and simply adhere it to my ribbon strip. You must be saying to yourself "duh?" LOL; well I never thought that could be done. There I was trying to tie a bow on a card like you did on a present. Never mind, better late than never! :)
